We’re looking for 4 Creatives to work with us on our Community Climate Action Project
About the Climate Action Project
In October 2020 we launched the Community Climate Action project with support from the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund. Our aim is to support our community to play its part in shaping Bristol’s transition to a low carbon and climate-resilient city.
The project aims to change perceptions about how every one of us can make changes in our lives to tackle carbon emissions by empowering under-represented voices to become part of the climate change debate.
In 2021, Heart of BS13 will be actively engaging with our community, collaborating with Bristol Green Capital Partnership, Bristol City Council and the Centre for Sustainable Energy to identify community priorities for action. The outcome will be a community-led climate action plan which in turn will support Bristol’s efforts to become carbon neutral by 2030.
The action plans will focus on improving the quality of life for local people whilst simultaneously reducing carbon emissions. Each community partner has developed a unique approach to engage and inspire their communities with conversations and activities around climate action – and we’re doing all this within the challenging context of the Covid situation!
We’re looking for creatives to work specifically with young people in BS13 so that their voices can be front and centre of the climate action plan we develop.
